Art Work of the Day"3 good luck clOver-bowls" Tue 18 Jeannine Vrins on Etsy These lucky bowls bring a couple luck as only four-leaf clover can do. You can use them to serve olives and chorizo, or sweet desserts, or guacemole and sour cream, or herbs and essences, or... The bowls are vividly brushed in the inside with a fresh green coloured underglaze with a transparant glaze on top. Sizes: diameter about 4, 6 and 11 cm /2,3",2,75" 4,3". All my designs are wheel thrown and therefore all a bit different. The outside of the little bowls feel very soft by the use of "Terra Sigillata" and you really want to touch it! The inside is glazed with a "homemade" glossy white glaze and forms a perfect contrast with the satin outside. Of coarse the glaze is foodsafe. You can use this bowl in your kitchen: microwave -and dishwasher proof. Every piece is signed with a little O. The O of Oker (which is the color ochre in dutch/f

Another favorite artist of mine is actually one that my wife and I both like. Claude Monet is a famous impressionist painter who was born in Paris, France (Nov. 14, 1840- Dec. 5, 1926) and is known for such masterpieces as, Sunset in Venice, Woman with a Parasol, and my personal favorite, Impression, Sunrise just to name a few. My wife's personal favorite portrait is, Waterlily Pond with the Japanese Bridge, 1899. She loves its vibrant colors and enjoys the sense of serenity it brings whenever she looks at it. I have to admit, I like it as well since I do have a koi pond which I enjoy everyday. I may not have the beautiful waterlilies as in Monet's painting, but my pond is a work in progress. People that influenced Claude Monet during his lifetime were Eugene Boudin, Johan Jonkind, and Gustave Courbet. And just as these men have inspired him, Monet's art work inspires me in my paintings everyday. My hope is to achieve what Monet has which is for people all over the worl
